Blessing of the Backpacks:  August 30

Sunday, August 30th, as we welcome UConn students back into our midst, and as our K-12 students have just started their school year start-ups, we will celebrate a “Blessing of the Backpacks” rite in our 10:00 am Festival Worship service.

Bring along a backpack, bookbag, or other symbol of the educational journey–and, of course, the student who goes along with it, whether in pre-school, grad school, or somewhere in between–and we’ll share in prayer, blessing, and commissioning for the year’s journey ahead.
