2018 Budget First–Look

Categories: Carillon Newsletter,News

On Tuesday, September 12 the Governing Board met jointly with the Ministry Team Leaders.  On behalf of the Finance-and-Administration Committee, Ray Joesten provided the Board and Ministry Team Leaders a preliminary version of a 2018 budget.

Team Leaders were asked to review the draft in light of the following questions:  Are the proposed allotments enough?  Could you make do with less?  Are there things that you would like to be able to do if additional funds were available?

Work on the budget will continue through early November.

A Congregational budget forum will be held on Sunday, November 19, allowing members of the Congregation the opportunity to discuss the overall picture, examine alternatives, have conversation together about priorities, ask questions, gather input, and otherwise address matters related to our 2018 budgeting process in preparation for the Annual Budget Meeting on Sunday, December 3, 2017 at which time the Congregation will be asked to vote on the adoption of a 2018 budget.
