Really!  Things are FALLING into Place in the Library!

If you have stopped by the library in the last few weeks you may see what some would call a mess or even worse a disaster!  It is good!  The new paint color is being applied to almost any surface that can be painted.  In preparation to reach this stage, we are working with Duffy Brookes as he coordinates the painting project.  The children’s books have been weeded (that’s means some titles are being permanently removed or replaced cause of condition from the collection).  They are boxed and waiting a new “home” on a shelf. It will take 2 weeks for the paint to cure and books can be put in place.  The adult collection most likely will be boxed next.

In the meantime, the adult collection is available pretty much in tack.  Books have been pulled out and are on display for the Just Peace initiative.  There are a few children’s books in this collection, too. In support of the Reclaiming Our Voices writing program there are a few examples of inspirational writings again with offers for adults and children.  We did set aside some children’s Thanksgiving and Christmas selections.

A few new titles have been added and you will read about them in the Sunday Bulletin and Carillon.  Included in these acquisitions is the Hillbilly Elegy, the selection for the November Book Discussion group. We received into the collection 3 of Pastor Bob Loesch’s writings. He will be sharing one of these books at a Pick-a-Party sponsored by the Library group so watch for the information on joining him at that time.

Your support and interest in the Library continues to keep us working on your behalf.
