Kathy Lindner, Caring Ministry Coordinator for three years, will be succeeded in mid-February by Rev. Leslie Kennard.

Kathy would like to thank all the Team Leaders and members who have been helping with the Caring Ministry.  The following will be continuing as Team Leaders.  

Jennie Talbot, Prayer Shawls Team Leader – members knit shawls for new members, baptisms and for members dealing with health challenges. Members also knit the prayer squares which are given to visitors.

Marsha Creese and Gail Kapinos, Meal Team Leaders- soups and casseroles are prepared and delivered to members who have been in the hospital or who are facing health or life challenges.

Carolyn Holmy, Rides on Sundays Leader – rides are offered on request.

Brenda Bergen, Card Leader – get-well and sympathy cards are sent.  In addition, Christmas cards and birthday cards are sent to the Keeping in Touch List.

Lynn Brown, Flower Distribution Leader – flowers from the church services are sometimes available to be distributed to members dealing with health issues or facing life challenges.  A different Team member assists each month.

Pam Roberts, Angel Team Leader – assistance is offered to community member(s) who are referred by the Mansfield Social Services.

Carol Jordan has served as Team Leader for Medical Rides during the week and will be succeeded by Ray Joesten – arrangements for rides to doctors are made on request.

New Teams for 2019 will include the Caring Connections Team with Kathy Lindner as Leader.  Kathy will be reviewing the Caring Connections list, making more suggestions as to how we can care for each other and identifying emergency contacts for all our members.

The Funeral Reception Team which was originally under the Women’s Fellowship will also be a new team under the Caring Ministry.   Carol Jordan will continue as Leader.  The Team plans and organizes the funeral receptions, making and providing refreshments after the services.
