Susanne Davis, the author of the book The Appointed Hour will discuss her book at our May 19^th gathering, which starts at 7 p.m. in the Edwina Whitney Library. The book, a collection of short stories, tells of:

• a woman experiencing post-traumatic stress who finds her voice in communion with other women
• a Mayflower descendant who wrestles with a controversial monument that honors his  ancestor
• a tattoo artist who fights for his art
• a couple who confronts a terminal illness
