Earthkeepers’ Corner from the InterReligious Eco-Justice Network:

Spring is finally here!  We want to do everything we can to preserve the beauty of our Earth, and we know that the rapidly rising level of carbon in our atmosphere is threatening Earth’s ability to sustain life itself.  Is your House of Worship adding to this problem by investing in Fossil Fuels?  Do a little research, and find out about your endowment funds.   Do a review of your own investments, if you have them. Many people and faith communities are divesting from Fossil Fuels, investing in Green Energy, and find their portfolios improve!

Want more information? Come to our Green Forum on Divestment on Sunday, June 2, from 2:00 – 4:30 PM, at Immanuel Congregational Church, 10 Woodland Street in Hartford.  Hear Keynote speaker Rev. Fletcher Harper, Executive Director of Green Faith, and see a special video message from Bill McKibben!  The event is free, but please register on Eventbrite. Visit our website at www.irejn.org.  Blessings on our journey together!
