Food Pantry Needs – June4

Categories: Carillon Newsletter,News,ReachingOut

Our Food Pantry has recently been re-stocked by the local community through the National Letter Carrier Association Annual Food Drive. Local families are simply not receiving enough assistance to put food on their tables and the Food Pantry has become a vital necessity for their dietary needs.

Here are some items that are always needed:

  • Cereal (hot or cold)
  • Peanut Butter
  • Jam & Jelly
  • Canned Pasta Dinners
  • Canned chicken & Canned meats
  • Stews
  • Corned Beef Hash
  • Mayonnaise
  • Canned Fruit (unsweetened)

Folks that have been using the Food Pantry have been very thankful for the personal hygiene items and soap that have been donated.  We have also had quite a few requests for gift cards for basic necessities such as milk, butter, and gas.  Pet supplies, such as cat food and dog food are also needed.

You can bring your contributions to the Parish House and leave them in the Food Pantry or bring them to Worship and leave them in the grocery cart and we’ll take care of shelving the items.
