BOARD of CHRISTIAN OUTREACH |
The
food pantry of the Storrs Congregational Church is located in the Parish
House lounge. Canned, packaged and frozen food as well as basic supplies are
always available and given out at the discretion of the ministers. In
addition, food from the pantry is packed and delivered to local families in
need four times a year. The food pantry stock comes from Church members and
friends and members of our surrounding communities. We collect food on the
first Sunday of each month. Items may be placed in the bin labeled food
pantry in the church narthex. Also, a number of local businesses and
organizations, such as the Boy Scouts, the Mansfield Post Office, and St. Thomas
Aquinas Church conduct food drives or donate food.
