Welcoming All Campaign
Kickoff Dinner
January 11, 2009
We Went Beyond The Threshold…
Welcoming All: Campaign for Accessibility
was launched Sunday, January 11 at the Kickoff Dinner held at Zenny’s
Restaurant, where it was announced by campaign leadership that a total of
$887,191.63 in pledges and in-hand contributions was reached. That figure is
nearly 81% of the campaign goal of $1.1 million. The total includes more
than $14,000 from the SCC production of the musical "Godspell" last
November, as well as other contributions. However, it was the advance gifts
and pledges which brought the campaign above the 75% threshold set by the
congregational meeting in October. The "Godspell" fundraising and other
contributions brought the total to the nearly 81% of the
goal.

Right", with emcee Tom Suits, who, with David Jordan, is

the actual amount. The prize: first ride in the new elevator.
Betty Robinson and Paulla Dixon were also prize
winners at the dinner. Theirs were the winning entries in the Welcoming All
quiz that appeared in the church bulletin. They each won a scented candle.
