Blessing of the Backpacks—August 27th

Students of all Ages! Bring your Backpacks and your very selves to be blessed during worship, in a season of return to an academic schedule.

First Day of Regular Sunday School

Save the Date! We’ll return to a typical Sunday School time on August 27th, but in a new classroom!  Children of all ages are invited to gather in Room 106 on Sunday, August 27th, following the Early Word in Worship.

First Y@SCC gathering

Middle Schoolers and High Schoolers—and parents! Save the date! Sunday, September 24th, 5:30-7:00 pm will be our school year kick-off gathering and calendaring party.  We have great stuff planned for this fall, so please come and join us for a light meal, s’mores, and fellowship.

“Hearing Voices”

Tina Huey and Pastor Nancy are working together on a project to complement Pastor Matt’s Sabbatical work in Europe.  The project, “Hearing Voices,” will be ongoing through the fall, and will focus on supporting you in letting your voice be heard—through whatever artistic medium is most natural to you—is it in the form of prose? Story-telling? Dramatic interpretation? Poetry? Painting? Photography? Song-writing?  This is a celebratory project that is based on the principle that God is still speaking—and does speak, regularly, to each of us, if we are willing to hear the voices.

In the upcoming weeks, look for information about dates and times for workshops and events.
