Fall Sermon Series:  Journey to Freedom

Beginning August 23^rd, we will journey for the fall through the story of the Exodus, the journey of the Israelite people out of slavery in Egypt and into the Promised Land.  Through years of wandering and self-discovery, the people faced key questions of what it means to be a nation and, more specifically, a nation called to be and to live as God’s people… fertile ground for reflection as we approach a time of national elections.

Outdoor Worship Service!  On August 30^th, we’ll partake of our 2^nd outdoor worship service of the summer, gathering in an appropriately COVID-precautioned way in-person on the church lawn to see one another in the flesh and worship together.  The service will still be live-streamed online for those uncomfortable or unable to join in-person.  We’re planning an extra-special worship celebration for the day, it being the Sunday beginning the fall semester!

Designed specifically for the experience of online worshipers, the Vespers service typically lasts 20 to 25 minutes and incorporates psalms, scripture readings, silence, communal and individual prayer, and an opportunity for fellowship and conversation.
