Service Sewing Needs Back to School Supplies

Service Sewing Needs: Beat the heat by heading to the store to shop for school supplies! Back-to-School sales on supplies have already started at many of our local stores and this is a perfect time to shop indoors, staying energized, while supporting this necessary ministry. Our Service Sewing team cuts, sews and assembles school bags throughout the year but need your help with supplies. Last year we provided 76 kits! This year has seen numerous natural disasters and loss of communities and belongings! These school kits provide normalcy in a world of chaos for kids and parents alike!

Whether you’d like to contribute complete kits, individual items or monetary funds for mailing costs or supplies, your contribution will directly affect lives in impoverished communities and refugee camps, providing help for today – and hope for tomorrow!

Bring contributions with you to Sunday worship and leave in the box in the Narthex or bring to the Parish House anytime during the week, and leave them in the “School Supplies” box located in the Lounge.

If you have any questions or would like to be involved with this ministry team, contact Patty Tanaka (patty.tanaka33@yahoo.com) or Laurie Brookes (thebrookes@aol.com)
