Reaching Out
As Jesus came among us as one who serves, so he has sent us into the world to serve others in his name. As we minister to others so he ministers to us. Anyone who has done so knows that the hope and sense of wellbeing engendered in that process are rarely derived from more secular pursuits.
Here at Storrs Congregational Church UCC, our service, presence, and justice-advocacy in the community and the world takes many forms. Currently, much of our outreach ministry centers around the focus areas of hunger and food justice, homelessness, women and children, and accessibility.
We also participate in a broader range of mercy-, peace-, and justice-building work throughout the country and the world through the ministries of our denomination, the United Church of Christ.
