Back to School Weekend & the “Blessing of the Backpacks”

We rally for a new season here at SCC on August 27th as we welcome UConn students back into our midst… as our Adult Choir resumes… as our Sunday School faith formation programming resumes for the fall… and as we share in a Blessing of the “Backpacks” (really, a blessing of the students carrying those backpacks) for students of all ages as classes resume. UConn students will be welcomed with a breakfast on the lawn before worship, and all of us will share in conversation and refreshments out front following. Haven’t made it to worship at SCC in a while? It’s time to get back in the habit!
