Our fall properties work days came at a busy time for many but still, much was accomplished. Fortunately, there was hardly any need for work on the grounds because of ongoing projects all summer.
This time, crews worked on ongoing challenges such as painting the library and cleaning/reorganizing the upstairs kitchen. Areas of the church were “winterized” including insulating the Meeting House, storing air conditioners and adjusting storm windows where necessary. Windows were cleaned in areas of the Education Wing and parking signs were “replanted” in the parking lot. The “chalk board” was constructed and installed on the lower lawn.
Many thanks to the following for their assistance: Antonio, Peter Baldwin, Laurie Brookes, Liz and Rich Cowles, Jim Davis, Bryan Huey, Sue Irvine, Robert Jeffers, Jane Joesten, Wes Lang-Rodean, Bob Malecki, Dick and Pam Roberts, Nancy Rucker and Paul Schur.
Incidentally, there is still a considerable amount of painting to be done in the library and eventually the Historian’s Office, if you have time to donate to these vital projects contact Duffy Brookes (thebrookes@aol.com).
