Whitney Library Update

Categories: Carillon Newsletter,News

Thanks to all the volunteer painters led by Duffy Brooks we are nearing the major portion of repainting the library.  The reshelving and rearranging of the books has begun and it is a slow and tedious job.  Shelves are being adjusted and accuracy of shelving is an important step at this time.  We will be sure to let you know when the doors are open again!

In the meantime, we remind you that a limited number of books are available at the “Lounge Library”.  At this time there are some Lenten selections and fiction for both children and adults.  You are welcome to borrow books by following the sign out procedures listed on the top of the carousel.  Sign the card in the back of the book and date it with the date shown and also put that date on the date due slip also in the back of the book.  If there is a special read you are looking for call Janet at 860 423-5930.

On March 18 there will be a book discussion on the UCONN READS selection, Refugees.  The book is available from the library and if you do not see it on the carousel please put your name on a piece of paper and date requested and we will hopefully be able to connect you to the books when it is returned.

Spring is coming and with it the new reveal with more to come in the library!!!  Thank you, once again for the support through this process.
