SCC’s new WAIM delegate, Josh Miller, with outgoing delegate Diane Sprague.

Josh Miller is now the Storrs Congregational Church’s delegate to the Windham Area Interfaith Ministry (WAIM). Josh is taking over the delegate responsibilities from Diane Sprague who has represented SCC at the local organization for several years. Replacing Josh as alternate delegate to WAIM is Annetta Miller.

From the WAIM website:

WAIM started in 1984 in the basement of a local church with the original intention of redistributing clothing to our neighbors in need. Since then, we’ve grown to an organization that, along with clothing, provides furniture, appliances, linens, career clothing and emergency financial assistance to over 8,000 people each year from Windham and twelve surrounding towns. We also manage a thriving community garden at Lauter Park in Willimantic, offer Partners in Independence Adult Mentoring Program, and provide seasonal programs to help clients make ends meet.
