WHAT: A CALL TO A SPECIAL BUSINESS MEETING of the Women’s Fellowship

WHO:  ALL Women of the Church Community

WHEN: Sunday, January 13, 2019

WHERE: In Meeting House Immediately following worship

All women of the church are eligible to vote at this specially called meeting of the Women’s Fellowship (WF) of the Storrs Congregational Church(SCC): United Church of Christ based on the current Women’s Fellowship Constitution and Bylaws.  Documents specific to actions listed are attached.

Digital copies of the related documents including the current By-Laws under consideration for a motion to rescind are available from Pam or as paper copies in the display in the lounge.   

The body gathered on January 13 after worship will:

  1. Receive necessary reports for the close of the 2018 year:
  2. Approve November 4, 2018 Annual Meeting minutes 
  3. Receive the 2018 end of year financial reports  
  4. Enter the signed Memorandum of Agreement between the SCC Governing Board and the WF into the record.
  5. Take actions referred to this special meeting by those gathered at the Annual Meeting of the WF on November 4, 2018 to: 
    • Rescind the Constitution and By-Laws of the Storrs Congregational Church Women’s Fellowship effective January 16, 2019
    • Transfer all assets of the Women’s Fellowship as of January 16, 2019, to the “Women’s Fellowship Legacy Fund”, a Reserve Fund of the Storrs Congregational Church.
    • Record the appointment of Eileen Metzgar, Sondra Morrison, and Jamie Lang-Rodean as trustees of the account with authorization to recommend expenditures to the Governing Board.
