The Governing Board is working to develop a Mission Statement for our church that will help us clarify the Mission and purpose that we aspire to achieve. Agreeing on and adopting a Mission will help us clarify our identity and rally around the things that are important to us. It can also guide our decisions about priorities, actions and responsibilities. We hope to use this Mission to help us become more comfortable balancing between inward and outward focused activities and the level of our church’s engagement in these activities. We would also hope that clearly identifying our Mission will help us to attract new members who are inspired by and drawn to our Mission.

1. Starting on Sunday, January 20^th the Governing Board is displaying a Mission draft board in the Parish House Lounge.
2. The display will include some draft statements that have been offered by members of the Governing Board, and will also allow you to create your own version using word and phrase magnets.
3. Please try your hand at creating an inspiration Mission! When you come up with a version that you think fits the church that you want us to be, please snap a picture and send it to Deborah at the church office: sccoffice@storrscongchurch.org. Please use the words “SCC Mission” in the subject line.
