10 Year Anniversary of Welcoming All

Categories: Carillon Newsletter,News,ReachingOut

In October of 2009 we celebrated as a church and as a community a “Welcome to Our House” weekend. Some rode the elevator for the first time, we worshiped, we honored all who had contributed in any way to our Campaign for Accessibility, and we committed to continue the focus of WELCOMING ALL in our church community in the future.

The future is now, and on October 26 and 27 we will take time to reflect on who we have become as we catapulted forward from Welcoming All into new adventures and new leadership, became a Just Peace Church, and continue to move forward in our advocacy efforts. Our ministries have evolved through sharing God’s love in our fellowship and faith building together and in our caring for each other and the strangers among us locally, regionally, and globally. We need to celebrate who we were and who we are in order to help to discern God’s plan for us in the future.
