The SCC Just Peace Team has begun collecting books that will be donated to the Brooklyn Correctional Institute so that a lending library can be created there.  Your help is needed in getting the library stocked with books!  Please donate your gently used hardcover and paperback books that are free of mildew, smoke, and other odors. New books are also appreciated. Please remove your name or other markings from books and place your donations in specific boxes labeled “Books for Brooklyn” in the entryway of SCC from January 28 through February 28, 2022.  If there is an additional future drop off period, we will announce it then.  We appreciate your help with this project and are excited about providing books that will fulfill a need in Brooklyn and our community.
