SCC Book Discussion Group: Our next book discussion is this Sunday evening, May 22, 2022, at 7:00 pm via Zoom where we will discuss: JUST MERCY by Bryan Stevenson. Bryan Stevenson, a Harvard Law School graduate, represents poor clients in Georgia and Alabama and is co-founder of the Equal Justice Initiative. His memoir, JUST MERCY, tells of his life’s work and the deep stain of racial injustice in America and focuses on hiswork with the Initiative in defending the poor, and the wrongly condemned. Stevenson sheds light on abhorrent cases of injustice and the treatment of people in our justice system. One such case is that of Walter McMillian, a man on death row for killing a woman.
