“Until Help Arrives” Training, October 29th, 6:00-8:30 – Please sign up!

Categories: News

Have you ever wondered how you would react in a medical emergency? This training is being offered at no cost to us in our very own Parish House Lounge to make it easy to attend. Topics include compression only CPR, calling 911, AED basics, administering Narcan, and how to stop bleeding. Please sign up in the link provided so that we can estimate attendance and allow for enough hands-on practice manikins and supplies. Even if you don’t sign up, if it turns out you can come at the last minute, feel free to attend. This is a non-certification class geared toward the general public and does not meet requirements for workplace certification.

Our skilled trainers are Brian Clinton, Associate Professor and Chair of the Nursing and Allied Health Department at CT State Quinebaug, American Heart Association BLS Trainer, former EMT-Basic and Medical Assistant, and doctorate in Public Health, along with Cecile Serazo, BSN, Community Health and Wellness Coordinator, Eastern Highlands Health District. For questions, contact Linda Blum lblum0598@charter.net.

This class provides basic yet critical key actions that can help you sustain a life until EMS arrives. You might just be the one to save a life.
