The fires have so far claimed 25 lives, displaced 180,000 people, and have destroyed 12,000 homes, churches, and schools, rendering entire communities into piles of ash and scorched rubble. In addition to monetary help, the UCC is also there to provide crisis care and supplies, to help secure rebuilding grants, to provide hope for destroyed churches, and more.
