C.A.F.E Storrs, led by Rev. Mike Lake, will begin a new book study on Scripture on May 21. We will begin consideration of “The Bible With and Without Jesus: How Jews and Christians read the same stories differently.” Bible scholars Amy-Jill Levine and Marc Zvi Brettler take readers on a guided tour of numerous Hebrew Bible stories referenced in the New Testament, revealing a deeper understanding of the text’s historical and literary significance, helping all readers to see more clearly the beauty and power of scripture.
