Our book club will be having their next discussion on THE BEAR, by Andrew Kriva, on Sunday, September 21, SCC Library and Zoom

THE BEAR tells of a father and daughter who live alone in the mountains. He is preparing her for post-apocalyptic life in harmony with nature, teaching her how to survive by reading the stars, how to forage, to hunt and tell time in the wild. When the girl finds herself alone in an unknown area, it is a bear who teaches her how to build a new relationship with the wilderness around her. The passing of knowledge and connection to the surrounding world are a major part of the tale.
